2.4.08 Hans Brattrud awarded the King’s Medal of Merit
Due to his work within furniture design, influencing a technical alteration and development of the Norwegian furniture industry, Hans Brattrud was awarded The King’s Medal of Merit. The medal is conferred as a reward for service in the fields of art, science and industry and for outstanding public service. The medal was handed to Hans Brattrud by the county governor of Oppland, Kristin Hille Valla, during a ceremony in his home town, Dokka, Norway. To further honor the recipient a room at the administrative building of Nordre Land municipality, county of Oppland, was named after him and furnished with his chairs.

Designers Saturday
Fjordfiesta stiller ut under årets Designers Saturday i Oslo 8-9 september.

Norske Sittemøbler
Hans Brattrud sine stoler er valgt ut til å være med på utstillingen ”Norske Sittemøbler”. Her vises et utdrag av det beste innen norsk møbeldesign gjennom tidene. Utstillingen vil senere bli vist i berlin, Wien og Stockholm. Utstillingen er på DogA (Norsk Design og Arkitektursenter) og er åpen i perioden 07.08-05.09.2007

Fjordfiesta is proud to announce that the Scandia Senior easy chair has the prize "Classic Innovation award Cologne 2006" [ENG] [GER] at the IMM Cologne Furniture Fair 2006. Hans Brattrud; we salute you!

5.1.06 IMM 16-22 Jan, Cologne
We will participate at the IMM 2006 in Cologne together with other Norwegian manufacturers at stand C 020-D 029, Hall 11.1.

We will exhibit the new Scandia senior, easy chair, along with Scandia nett, lounge chair and Scandia jr. stackable chair.

5.1.06 Scandia Senior nominated
The Scandia senior, easy chair is nominated for the “Interior Innovation Award Cologne 2006”. The prize ceremony will take place on Monday 16 of January at 6.30 pm in Hall D3, Design Talents, first floor. The prize is established by the German Design Council and Koelnmesse GmbH.

This year we participate in Hall B at stand B01:25 and will display two new products:

We expand the Scandia range with the large easychair,
Scandia senior.
Probably the most wellknown chair in the Scandia range and a true scandinavian design icon!

We also present a new product from designgroup

At our stand we will show the prototype of a new dining table. The first product in a range of new furniture designed by norway says for fjordfiesta.


100% Norway
During 100% Design2003 in London there also was a curated exhibition, 100% Norway, with contemporary design from Norway. The exhibition was curated by Bradley Quinn and officially opened by Sir Terence Conran. As always the Scandia
chairs where present!


Scandinavian Design-
Beyond the myth.
At the 6th of november at the Kunstgewerbemuseum in Berlin we are showing the first prototype of the relaunch of the Scandia senior. This exhibition is called “Scandinavian Design- beyond the Myth.” and represents some of the best design from Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark through 50 years. This exhibitin will travel worldwide for
three years.
